The Virginia Beach School Board received information about proposed federal grant applications at its May 9 meeting. For the 2023-24 school year, Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) would receive approximately $16.3 million in formula grant funds through programs authorized under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA) as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 (ESSA).

The Advanced Technology Center (ATC) is a unique partnership between Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS), the City of Virginia Beach and Tidewater Community College (TCC). The ATC plays a unique role in the region's STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education plans, preparing students not only for existing careers, but also for those that will be emerging in the coming decades.

The ATC has a dedicated staff that is both highly qualified and highly committed to the success of our students. Our students get an in-depth and hands-on education in subjects such as graphic design, engineering, cybersecurity, information technology and more.
